The whole Goodwill thing has been a running joke, akin to the "two weeks" for all new AE products

for those not on facebook....

Does that kit have the saft, or sanyo 1ah batteries? Can you take pictures?

They are the saft cells, I'll snap some pics later. Here is the sticker sheet that was in the box.

I fought myself over it for sure. Since I will never sell them, it wasnt about value but I still wasnt sure. The deciding factor was the battery in the 6020, wondering if it had leaked all over the tub. Then once I did that and saw the sticker sheet that I dont think has ever been documented, I had to open the 6016 just to see if there was anything else cool haha. I had a whole thread on here with kits like these I had "murdered" by cutting the seals, but photobuckets greed destroyed that thread by removing all the pics.

I'd be lying if I didn't admit to cracking a few open myself.
Interesting to see the batt in 2 halves. Or was that an illusion? Pretty sure the other 6020 that I did open up had the battery with the halves bonded together somehow. I'd go look, but a forum member bought the batt.
I also don't recall the Saft stickers! They may have ended up in the gigantic box of stickers that also sold.
I think if you own a bunch of sealed 10s, cracking a few open is a 0 sum action. You've decreased the total amount in circulation and in theory raised the value of the remaining. Just trying to help you out
EDIT: I remember now, after looking at the listing. I shrink wrapped the pack at some point

I always had assumed those were Sanyo cells, interesting. Those Saft stickers are awesome, first time I've seen any like 'em.
Also, the "Inspected" sticker must have been something added to the later kits, never seen that before.
Lastly, I didn't remember the tissue paper on top of all the parts, wonder when that was started...

I miss that thread! My favorite pics were the ones where you'd just show the Xacto blade in the box, moments before the murder takes placeGoMachV wrote: ↑Mon Nov 18, 2024 2:07 pmI fought myself over it for sure. Re: Letting the air out of a 6016 and 6020 kit sealed since new
I don't know when the tissue started, but I remember it from my first rc10 back in the day. I'm guessing 85ish. My kit was the basic, so no body or electrical stuff. I wish I had more memories or info, but all I know is it wasn't a early kit.
I always assumed the kits came with the nice sticker sheet and that mine didn't as it was a basic. These both have just the basic AE script stickers.
