Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
Slightly off topic but does anyone know if the optima pro undertray will fit the optima mid?
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
Just FYI, Team BlueGroove sells an Optima Mid undertray, I used it along with their body for my OptiMutt project. I discuss it a bit in my project thread:

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
Good to know but I was interested in the sculpted undertray, just wasn't sure if the mid's chassis was wider than the Pro. I know they share the same body with different cut lines.Coelacanth wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 1:01 pmJust FYI, Team BlueGroove sells an Optima Mid undertray, I used it along with their body for my OptiMutt project. It's time to stand up to the bully. Support the companies that support the industry, not the ones that tear it down. Say no to Traxxas

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
Maybe I'm talking through my behind but it sure looks like the same body. If I were to cut the bottom to match the Pro undertray and not cut the rear of the body off like the cut lines suggest it'd be pretty similar, I don't have a pro to check against obviously.

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
The body of the Optima Pro is similar, but the cut line on the mold are different, and there might be other differences. I did not order a Pro yet, but that's in my plans... I'm curious to see how it is different...RogueIV wrote: ↑Wed Oct 23, 2024 7:08 pm Maybe I'm talking through my behind but it sure looks like the same body. That said, the battery on the Pro is placed in front compared to the Mid60th, and I'm not sure the undertray of a Pro would work with the Mid60th for that reason, as there is some tunnels at the rear on the side, and they may be exactly where the battery is supposed to go on the Mid 60th...
I buy kits to build and ru(i)n them

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
Yeah I mentions that I think it's just the cut lines on the body that are different. I use all shorty batteries so that may not be an issue for me although i do question weather or not the transmission location would get in the way.silvertriple wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 1:32 pmThe body of the Optima Pro is similar, but the cut line on the mold are different, and there might be other differences. Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
I just found that Penguin Bodyshell does a specific undertray for the Mid 60th... It's probably better than trying to work with an Optima Pro as looking at how the undertray is fixed on the Optima Pro and the way it is design it won't work with the battery positionning on the Mid 60th...RogueIV wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 2:24 pmYeah I mentions that I think it's just the cut lines on the body that are different. Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
My interested was mainly in the sculpted style channels the Pro has in the undertray. I know Penguin and TBG make undertrays but i wanted the cooler undertray
Probably would be an issue in the back section though.

Re: Legendary series Optima Pro
I'd probably never sell it, but all of the talk about the Optima Pro (and my having of course purchased one) has made me curious ... what do y'all think an NIB original would fetch now that it's been re-re'd ? What about an original Optima NIB?
