Orange, or Blue?

As much as I love Blue, I'm leaning towards Orange on this one.

I prefer the blue, if that's what you're asking. I see the blue VW in the background though, so you may prefer to have orange instead.

Thanks for the votes!

I do have a bit too much blue on the shelf, with three models, was what I was thinking. The Sand Scorcher being the boxart TS-10 French Blue, could be a nice match to a blue Rough Rider, or not enough variety. If this is the toughest decision I have to make all week, I'm thankful.

I usually do orange just because I'm a main box art slave. However the Rough Rider's body always seemed closer to the blue Bel-Ray Bullet than to Bob Maynard's orange buggy in my eyes (with the understanding Tamiya tweaked the body dimensions to fit around their radio crate).

I never knew the boxart for these were based on real vehicles, thanks for this!

Wish I could use these 1.5" Centerlines on this project, but the Rough Rider (Buggy Champ) has the 1.7" wheels.

For me it's orange all the way.
And, I were building a Buggy Champ, I'd ditch the radio box, mount the battery to the chassis plate lengthwise and mod the body so the sides roll under like the box art.

Orange feels right. Will also get a vintage/repro decal sheet.

Found a set of Centerlines for the 1.7" Tamiya wheels. Had to do it.

Cool! My very first RC vehicle was painted orange and white so maybe I'm a little biased.
I think I have a set of those wheels. Adding a set of alloys to any RC brings it up a notch.

Nice wheels! Did you get your body painted? If so, what color did you go with?

Have you decided on the color, or paint scheme for it yet?

Just went looking for a vintage Rough Rider decal sheet/repro, and no one has it.

MCI only has this sheet - no KC smiley stickers, no Penzoil, no anything vintage. I'll contact them and ask why.
