Not the post, but the LHS. My son needed to stop by for some parts for a school project, and it was just staring at me.
My LHS is bad about charging more than their website price ($179.99 vs $152.99), but I mentioned that I could purchase online and do local store pickup for the website price. That stopped the price dispute. Unfortunately now my trusty TC3 feels betrayed.

RC10 stuff. JC Racing wheels, tires and foam inserts (5-star wheels are getting Schumacher tires), hinge pin set and E-clips.

I got a DuraNovakTrax M5 from mikea96 that was a takeoff from a buggy he's building. Thanks Mike!

I did a little wiring cleanup of some old splices. It's a nice little unit. I think I have an extra heat sink somewhere too.

I also picked up a nice Pit Wizard for a decent price. I experimented a little. It's a funky little programmer.

RC10 bearing set and some Novak goodness; AM XXL, NER-2X, Cyclone and Cyclone C2. Unlike Frankentruck, I do zero pre-cleanup prior to posting them raw and untamed. Check out them blob solders and the wiring that looks like someone took a machete to

I usually don't clean em up first, but I started to before I took a pic.

I got in some "arrows tyres" for the rear of my RC150. I was having a difficult time finding some rear 1/8 donuts that would fit the small diameter RCXXX wheels, but these look like they will be fine. They are 75mm OD, whereas the originals are ~81mm, but again, I think they will work out perfectly.

Had an absolute eBay bargain delivered today.....

Tamiya TA01 chassis (by my reckoning, but could be TA02). Complete with:
- Carbon shock towers
- rear sway bar
- hardened prop shaft
- alloy lower arms
- alloy hubs all round
- universal drive shafts on all corners
- adjustable upper links
- modern electronic gear
- battery holder!
- two nice condition bodies
- near-new Gens Ace 5000mAh NiMh pack

4.jpg
Tested all the gear, and it all works! This is despite the atrocious wiring job, and the previous owner leaving the battery connected for dog-knows how long. Even the Honda body is in pretty nice condition in the nose..... that NEVER happens!

The whole thing needs a good clean (lots of carpet / animal hair), and the wiring needs to be overhauled, but after that, it could be a very nice project, with a few nice tweaks.

And yes, I will throw away those wheels ;)

Can't say no to a NOS Twister - the first aftermarket motor I ever bought. I still remember being in the living room breaking it in with a pair of D batteries in a radio shack battery holder, likely burning some spots in the end table from soldering. :o

A friend that's getting rid of his RC stuff sent me a pile of vintage stickers. Stickers are my favorite way to fix my paint jobs!

Ahh... can never have enough Novak stickers. And those Revtech ones are nice. I got these ones the other day, does anyone know about what time period they started using this design?

Much needed additional storage cabinet drawer job deal. Roughly 4 sq. ft. of workbench space has been covered with a mound of various hardware for far too long.
