A question about modern brushed motors with vintage ESCs
I've noticed that modern brushes motors do not come with capacitors (ex. Reedy Radon). I'm guessing that with modern ESCs any needed capacitance is built in to the ESC itself and that's why capacitors aren't included with brushed motors any more.
I want to pair a modern brushed motor with a vintage ESC and I'm assuming I'll need to source and add capacitors to the motor. Am I correct that capacitors are needed or am I missing something?

the caps are to prevent glitching with older radio equipment. If you are running 2.4ghz you dont need them, if you are running crystal radios you will.

Motor capacitors were for regulating RF interference. If you're using a 2.4GHz radio you don't need them, am/fm you do.

Re: A question about modern brushed motors with vintage ESCs
For reference, some modern motors (Tamiya, Yokomo) do have caps. The ones on the Tamiya are on a small circuit board.
