2024 VONATS rides
For this coming weekend. Yellow one is my sons 1991 team car, mostly stock minus 12mm shocks and FW NIX towers. the grey one is an A stamp chassis geometry/flex test car I built after our Jan Vintage event here in NC
[/img]. The cars are 90% the same but with a few more tuning options on the grey car...we'll see if that translates to a faster car or not. HW speedos, SP5 17.5s, Futaba digital servos. Nothing too fancy. NIX

Would you happen to have some nice body off pics

Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.
Hey Cru ! Go balls out

Re: 2024 VONATS rides
Most of the test stuff on the gold pan isn't noticeable unless you know exactly where to look. The biggest drag area is the rear most of the chassis, so I trimmed the A down to reduce that. Seems to help. Fan is a must with 17.5 open in NC summer indoor

Re: 2024 VONATS rides
Great event. First time at Adrenaline... track really surprised me throughout the event with what type of grip it could generate. Not a ton faster in later rounds but the tire options expanded to give some different advantages. We went from low tread Ellipse to reverse mowhawk Ellipse to Slick, driving line was very grippy without being traction rolling high. Layout was about perfect for this event, I would have liked to see at least one "air it out" spot near the middle of the track, but zero complaints!
I ended up 10th overall, my son was 19th overall, I snuck it into the A and overtightened the slipper... killing any possible chances. Overall it was a great day of racing, and look forward to doing a little better next year.
