What a weird thing to reproduce.... it wasn't the most popular kit even when it was new.

I hear they're releasing it with a Fairlane body..... so you can keep it NIB on the shelf, or in parts in the shed :P :P :P

I probably shouldn't throw too many stones..... it's an onroad car, with an Associated front end.... if I had one, it would take me decades to build!

I wonder if FanRC will make parts for the DS.
We're still waiting for AE to offer spares for the RC10 and '10t so maybe they should.
What do y'all think?

This year I have purchased a mint OG RC10DS, a mint RC10B3 Team kit, a mint RC10T2 with flo-orange powder coated chassis, built a hybrid World's Car with a mix of Re-re and Fan RC Parts, finished up my OG late Edinger, and I'm now finishing up my 10T Classic. Oh, and I'm waiting on my World's body to come back from being painted....Here we have AE dumping out these classics...and I'm broke... Maybe Santa will see I have been good this year.

Is this it starting, or were these there before?

Any guess on price?

I'm going to have to pull out my 1980's lawnmower and get after it to keep up with these rere's 🤣😂
The difference between good and great, is just a little bit more...

Well, everything is marked "new" so let's hope this is starting.
It's frustrating to see items marked "out of stock". Let's also hope that AE is determined to maintain inventory and keep parts on the shelves. Others are doing it, so can they.

Hmmm, no mention of it being a limited edition and expected to arrive late July -- wait, that's now.

AE seems to have found a price point they like. Seems ok with me for one. I'm glad to support their 2024 rere efforts. 🚗

Probably simply due to it's easily and cheaply manufactured due to recently having the aluminum tub and trans already in previous re-re models.

https://60years.associatedelectrics.com/rc10ds-classic-kit/

From the specs page:
Body Style:
Touring
Length:
480.1mm (18.9in)
Width:
223.5mm (8.8in)
Wheelbase:
261.1mm (10.28in)
Doesn't mention an adjustable wheelbase, or the range possible, like the vintage DS manual does.

Lots of good Touring body's available out there.

Might be time to go brushless on this one.
