Re: Discuss...
Bezerk should learn from the makers of "80%" lowers. Machine the old AP brakes logo onto the chassis, and let the end user complete it if he wishes.

Re: Discuss...
If I had to guess, they are were angry over the use of "RC10", but it is worth mentioning they do in fact hold trademarks for both "RC10", "AE", and "AE" with a specific logo, all under the context of 'radio controlled model cars'. There are A LOT of 'AE' trademarks, as one would assume
"RC10":
https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=78619347&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch
"AE":
https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=88476862&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch
"AE" plus logo design:
https://tsdr.uspto.gov/#caseNumber=78622867&caseSearchType=US_APPLICATION&caseType=DEFAULT&searchType=statusSearch
'Area 51', 'Green Slime', 'RC12', and 'Reedy Modifieds' are "DEAD". Who's up for an RC10Talk collection plate to register them?

Part of it must be that it is too well known now that this stuff is out there and they felt they had to say something about it.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Re: Discuss...
I think it will boil down to the same thing Traxxas was after all along, be very clear that it FITS an RC10 but dont market it AS an rc10 part. Dont use their name on it. Dont do anything that would result in confusion between your product and theirs. They cant keep you from using RC10 as a marketing word, how else would you identify fitment. Again same thing as Traxxas.
I find myself needing to go through all my rc10 listings and changing the wording just to be safe. Its as simple as saying shock tower for rc10 instead of rc10 shock tower.

When I first saw this, I thought those SOBs were in bed with customs stopping the import of my FR01!!!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Re: Discuss...
This was my thoughts after seeing the first post. All sellers need to clearly advertise and identify products as RC10 "compatible" or "fits" the RC10 (or whatever AE product for that matter), therefore non-AE product cannot be confused as actual legit AE product.GoMachV wrote: ↑Thu Jul 11, 2024 11:51 am I think it will boil down to the same thing Traxxas was after all along, be very clear that it FITS an RC10 but dont market it AS an rc10 part. Let's hope this first message is just a warning, and they don't start filing lawsuits all willy-nilly.

2 weeks ago they sent me a list with Fan RC and their vendors when I asked about them producing spare parts for the gold pan anniversary.
