Have you kept your rc cars, or do you have to start all over again?

ImageThank you!
I still have an original 6010 gold pan RC 10
I also have a RC10GT with an OS18.
I've been digging thru boxes of parts and bodies.
I have an Optima Mid that is a race time capsule.
It has a JG Graphite extended chassis with a Lightspeed heatsink/motor mount, Novak receiver and esc, Team Checkpoint motor from before they went "big or sold or CHANGED to lower quality, mass produced monster motors. Ball diff rear, one way diff in front.
An original Blackfoot with a JG suspension kit on it. I think I put a Kyosho 380 gold motor. That was the numbrr on the motor, not the can size. 540 `nd it just did wheelies all the time! Lol!
Theres a Tamiya F1 original and a few Frogs too.

I have a Revo 3.3 and a Jato.

I most recently returned with an Arrma Granite 3s and Gorgon. Stock so far but the Granite with an Ovonic 9000mah 130c battery is CRAZY fast and will run about 1/2hr? doing wheelies at 75% throttle. 100% is just fine! Lol! Not planning to do motor and esc until they blow up. Breakage will dictate upgrades.
I already have a 3800kv for the Gorgon, not installed. The Gorgon is still teaching my kids and g/f how to run them. Obviously I will wait before I turn it into a dragster!

I also am Frankenbuilding a DeeRC200e. I'm trying to
get this one on to a track... Just to say I did. Lol! I have a 3s 3800kv 130A Spektrum set up in it with 2.2" on it and its hysterical! FAST!
On 2s its controlable and pretty easy to drive so far. The shocks, alum c hubs and bellcrank along with a total rebuild, shims and replaced the cheese linkages with some 5.8 linkages from kyosho. It tightened up well! lol!

3s and Lipo's changed the electric game for me. Enough so I bought Arrma's instead of another nitro to rip with!
The learning curve is still sharp.
I enjoy technology but I qualify as a "tinfoil hat guy" to most.

So the answer to your question is... Yes, I have my old stuff and have to start all over again! lol!

Its been fun taking out these relics and remembering old times, friends too!

Thanks for asking!

Quick answer to your question about old Yokomo red parts, generally speaking, look into Hot Trick Stuff. They had red or on rare occasion, silver parts exclusively (if my antique brain is digimebring correctly) I have a fair amount of an Optima kit from them somewhere too.

Lol! Time does fly!
I've been in r/c for a lng time now. Its so cool to see and to have experienced Cox motored straght line and string cars progressing thru to a basic Hornet with a twin stick Futaba to racing, nitro buggies and almost full circle (I'm hoping to return to a track too) and bashing with lipo's and brushless, this hobby has progressed so far!
Welcome back!!!
