Life long Tamiya collector here. We all need a Pumpkin or Lunchbox in our life.
Thanks for bumping this one back up! I need to get back to it. This model really does have a great look to it, with the chrome parts and the decals on. I've been trying to figure out if I need to do the full sand/primer/paint, or just leave it factory gloss, and put the decals on. That feels lazy, and I think I would be disappointed with the results.

Thought about it long enough, I'm going to do this one right, full sand/primer/paint. May be a bit before this one comes up though.

Couldn't agree more about everyone needing one of these. Have seen them driven, but have not driven one myself. Looks like fun. :D

Wet sand with 3500 grit sponge, wash and soak in Dawn, rinse thoroughly.

Tamiya non-Fine grey primer.

I'm thinking about painting this, not-black. I like the TS-102 Cobalt Green, like the Squash Van looks.

Will decide tomorrow.

Have to do this one in TS-14 Black. Finished the electronics this evening, and will paint it tomorrow.

Black is hard to get a good pic of indoors.

Will wait until tomorrow, and see if it needs any touch up.
