The 1/10 Buggy Wheel Database!

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

The 1/10 Buggy Wheel Database!

Post by RogueIV »

So after much annoyance with manufactures not posting the specs for their wheels I'm starting to populate a list of wheels and their specs myself. Measuring the outside width, and backspacing from the mounting surface to the rear of the wheel along with putting part numbers and links if applicable. This should help greatly if folks are trying to retrofit wheels to different models.

I'm starting with just 1/10 Buggies with whatever wheels I happen to come across in my adventures. You can view the list here:

Note about backspacing. This measurement is taken from the back of the wheel to the surface that the wheel mounts to on the car. Depending on the mount type this could be the Hex face, the Bearing surface, where the pin rests of where the spacer rests on the back of the wheel, whatever the surface is that locates the wheel to the car.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

Boy, do I need this.

Would it be worth adding a column for whether the part is active or discontinued? Or do you want to focus on active parts?

Eventually active parts will be discontinued having a column makes sense.

Not a bad idea, I'll add that.
