Ten SCT Nitro

Post by FasterLouder »

Hey everyone, hope all is well.
I picked up a TLR Ten SCT a while ago and started modding it, immediately.
It's the best nitro car I've owned...must be 'vintage' by now, right?

The mods...
TLR alloy chassis braces and front steering cover
8IGHT fuel tank
Hard anodized shocks
RC10B.2 throttle linkage
Modded 8IGHT alloy ball raced throttle mixer
4 shoe alloy clutch
Savox 1256 and 1251 servos with TLR alloy horns
The R.O.S.S. unit is still there, but I modified it to throw 7.4 volts at the glow plug and the starter motor
The plastic R.O.S.S. gear failed, like I knew it would, so I modified a Traxxas EZ Start to start it.
Rolling on some Proline Trenchers on bead lock rims with green alloy lock rings
RPM rear bumper
Cut up some Ten SCTE decals into some phantom Ten SCT decals.
This truck is a blast, starts up instantly and holds a tune really well, I haven't needed to touch the mixture screws since I set them when I got the truck.
If you get a chance to pick one up, go for it, they are a total blast.
Won't be parting with this truck!

Can you explain what you did to modify the EZ start to the 3.4? does the ROSS system still power it or do you use an EZ start wand?
