Masami Hirosaka reinvents the MX-4 with G-Force MX-4 Forever

Post by RogueIV »

It won't be cheap though. only 100 will be made at 246,000 yen (1,684.43 USD at the time of posting)
But damn is it nice looking.

Looks great, but man I wouldn't release a promo pic with the front belt looking loose like on the last pic.

Obviously the front belt doesn't have an artistic sense of unity with the main chassis.

I can’t help it; every time I see the chassis my mind tries to convince me to get a touring car and convert it

Isn’t that pretty much how b44 came to be? From the Jconcepts bj4 that converted the tc4 to buggy? I’m not super familiar with those cars but that’s what I thought I remember about it.

the earliest touring cars from yokomo: yr4 were based on the works91 buggies. And kyoshos first tc was based of the optima mid. Tamiya shares a lot of chassis between on and off road.
For this g-force: I can see the design hints to the mx-4. I also saw the pictures of the original prototypes by yokomo following up on the mx4 . One of the members here owns them and put up the pics…. might have been on the facebook branch rather than the forum. And them there’s the rich gold bliky look with woven carbon parts and general look which are new and put it right in the gforce lane. I can’t help seeing the similarities to the asian touring and drift car styling

Apparently these are all being hand built by Masaaki Hirosaka so that explains to pricing.

I wish they would also release it in a mass produced kit form just so we could actually afford and run it.

rhe only parts build by Him personally are the narrowed front tires and reshaped tire inserts. That’s what i saw mentioned. I’m sure the rest is done by a production team

That is COOL! :D Even cooler if he sends the empty parts bags along with the finished kit. (On the Masam XLS video series, Masaaki said he always sends the parts bags with every kit he builds. He is shown assembling a CAT and neatly folding the empty bags)

All 100 are sold already. I wish I had this kind of money for one, but again really wish they would make a mass produced version for less, that I can build myself and race without worrying about messing it up.

I love the way the car looks I just can't justify the expense for it right now, or even in the future or the distant future lol
