What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?

When it's R/C related, but doesn't fit anyplace else.

What's in the mail? Or, What are you currently waiting for?

Post by GreenBar0n »

I have two things in the mail, that will take a while to get here. The first is a decal sheet with custom colors from MCI, for a Corvette project I'm working on.

The second, I looked every day for a set of these, for months, placed WTB ads, they were nowhere to be found. Spotted these by accident last night, HPI Porsche Fuchs, 26mm front, 31mm rear. Going to have to skip a meal or two, but I'm so stoked to have finally found these! They are for a VW Bus model. Seller's pics:

I haven't got anything in the Post, I'm currently waiting on these parts... That's the reason I made a separate thread.

If the mods need to close this, I'll understand.

I haven't received anything yet in the post, I'm anxiously awaiting parts, and that wait will be at least another week. If no one else can relate to that feeling, or appreciate what's on the way, I'll understand why it's so quiet in here.

Two more things I'm waiting on that are keeping me from finishing a project, are black nylon nuts for the steering, and the shock pins for the front arms. Can't do much until they arrive, should be early next week.

I bought a junk lot on eBay yesterday..... mostly for the Bandit parts, as I was gifted a Rustler missing parts to rebuild, so I should be able to create something usable. Plus, was a great price for what will hopefully give me the parts to rebuild one, and maybe even two, trucks.

Mostly junk from that view, but a few pearls amongst the swine.... hoping this works...

...and at the last moment, saw this:

So yeah, awaiting the postman. 8)

Thats what I took the thread for. Perhaps simply "What are you currently waiting for" would a better subject title??

As hard as you've been searching for the Fuchs I can understand your excitement. Congrats by the way!

Nothing wrong with this thread being about parts people are more excited about receiving, or have fully stalled their project.

Ever read the first page of the "What are you watching" thread... that one got off to a dark start.

Dunno why you'd be so excited over that 59¢ heat sink when the AMB transponder is way more interesting. :P

Much thanks! You know I've been hunting those exact wheels for about 7 months now; finding the wider rear and narrower fronts in the same auction was the ultimate needle in the haystack for me - that's that ol' rimplaysia acting up again .

I called it "What's in the Mail?", first, then added the second part to clarify the anxious waiting part.

The delivery date is what makes the wait bearable, you know it's on the way when it's in the mail, it's going to happen, but exactly when? - is the feeling.

At some point today, the mailman will be bringing these three things.
HPI Porsche wheels
Black nylon nuts for RC10 steering
Foam Tires front and rear for TDP project

In the mail but still days away.
RC10 steering bell crank parts from FanRC
RC10 NOS vintage knockoffs

Jealous..... haven't even had notification of my junk pile being shipped yet, so nothing to track. Seller is usually on the ball, too....

Can't go any further on this project, waiting for parts again.

In the mail currently.
40th axle shim kit - the original cone washers and flat washers were bent, one was nearly folded. Would cost too much to go NOS, went 40th instead.

A Team Novak T-1 from 1986, first one with temperature cutoff. This one will need to have the early molex connectors put back on.
