My First Traxxas Blue Eagle Restoration Project
Im definitely Team Tamiya but traxxas had some beautiful stadium trucks. I dont like traxxas new builds even tho I hear they are very tough and have great quality parts but to me they lack the style of their older models so when I saw the traxxas hawk and eagle in a old magazine I just had to have one. I managed to find someone selling a blue eagle that was in decent shape but I had some work to do and some extreme hunting for wheels and parts wich was not easy. Now as much as I like the blue eagle one of my favorite colors is red so I had to make my own version. Completely restored from the ground up here is the Red Eagle!

Truck looks RED-iculously good! Great score on the wheels... and the tires too. LOVE a tall spike on a stadium truck.

Re: My First Traxxas Blue Eagle Restoration Project
Looks trick! Totally agree, when Traxxas dropped the racing "program" and went full RTR bashing on 6s, they jumped the shark. The Blue (Red) Eagle is one of my favorites. It represents a time when Traxxas was really trying to stay competitive, releasing new kits and packaged conversion kits for existing platforms, etc...
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Looks really cool. Those wheel/tire combo is still one of my favorite truck combos. I have a complete set of both NIP just waiting on an eventual Traxxas Hawk or Blue Eagle build. They are quite hard to find.

Sweet truck, the red looks great. Do you have plans for an esc and receiver? XL-1 with red heatsink would be a nice touch. Awesome motor choice by the way.
