RC12.5 B4

Post by LusBus »

]Dear Friends of the RC10

For a long time I was looking for a "good" small buggy. "Good" means to me:
- Quality, can handle powerful motors
- Looks like a race car, not like a plastic toy
- Rear-motor, because mid-motor works good on carpet and astroturf, but not for old-fashioned backyard-dirt-tracks.

Because I didn't find a car like this, I invented the "RC12.5 B4". I am shrinking a RC10 B4 to 80% of its size. Wheels of Losi Mini-8ight size, 3S2200 battery, 380size motor.
Chassis: Carbon/Texalium (homemade CNC)
Noseplate, chassis connecting plates: Aluminium (home cnc)
Other plates: Carbon (home CNC)
Arms: polyamide with fiber (homemade CNC)
some "filling & connecting" parts: 3D printed PET-G

Very interesting project. What are your plans for the transmission?

First version ("lazy"): Original B4 with modified motor-plate for a 380size motor as low as possible.

Later maybe something a little bit smaller... maybe home-built, maybe with parts of the old stealth (this diff is a little bit smaller) and a new designed transmission case.

The orange is very ugly. Sorry. I only use it for prototyping. Came for free on black friday.
