I just realized I haven't got a single email telling me I have a private message since last year. Anyone else not getting notifications?

well thats good to know, ill check more on my end. They arent in my spam folder the way they used to be, something about volume and no replies must have triggered it, and I would have to constantly report as "not spam" lol.

For some reason starting a couple of years ago, the board decided to stop sending out various emails to various accounts at random. With it being so intermittent, I don't know where you would begin diagnosing something like that, and if there would be a way to even fix it. It first began while using a Gmail account as the boards primary email address which I found out was a big no-no. I switched it to an internal RC10Talk.com one as advised which at least fixed the problems to a degree. It almost seems like there's limitations happening on how much outbound email the server is allowing the board to send.

Have never received a PM email notification. New replies to subscribed threads, but not PM's.

Wonder if there's a cutoff? Members after "XYZ" just don't get the memo?

I intentionally don't get email notifications. My email is already overloaded.

I'm on the site often enough that I simply rely on the notification bar.

I haven't had any email notifications of anything from PMs to new replies for a couple years I think. We must be on the random list that was mentioned by Lowgear.

I just did a bit of research on the matter, and found a few different reasons why emails are sporadic. I'll have to try some things to see if they can be sent out more consistently.

After spending several hours on this, I discovered our servers mail setup through Cloudflare was misconfigured. what's called the DKIM signature was missing along with the DMARC record. I don't know if that will improve upon the problem or fix it entirely because the issue began long before switching to Cloudflare, but it can't hurt.

I didn't want to say anything, but I was thinking it was definitely a DKIM or DMARC issue obviously!

its easy to blame DKIM but I think you will find this goes back to NKOTB, perhaps even back to KLF

So is anyone getting the notification emails now that they didn't before? Did this fix anything?

As of yesterday there were no email notifications for the PM's

As mentioned above some of us check in pretty often so it's no big deal, but if your trying to reach someone that isn't here often then of course they won't know. I sent an email to a user through the system and didn't get a reply either, kinda wondering if that part is broken or they just avoided me
