Ever have a case of R/C related Deja Vu?
I am having a serious case of deja vu and hoping someone might be able to help. Today after browsing through the Bay, I came across a listing with a car that just…I don’t know…I swear I have seen it somewhere before?
I thought perhaps it was from an article in RCCA where I do remember a RC10T with a similar paint job from BITD but I dunno lol perhaps I am having a seniors moment?

I come for the RC10's but stay for the Yokomo's

I just saw it while browsing eBay, and said to myself the same thing!
The first thought that came to mind was a Bolink display body as I swore they had one painted like that. After going through their old site via the Internet Archive, I found it was their Nomad body that was painted similarly.
Here's the pic. It's as big as it gets.

Can you believe I've been having the same case of deja vu? Same exact paint job.
November 1992 cover of RC Car Action Magazine is the RC10T Nitro conversion truck with that paint job.
BoLINK also featured a '55 Nomad wagon in some of their ads with that paint job.
What's irking me is... I could swear that paint job originated from someone's race truck... But I can't remember whose...

Ha! beatcha by a minute with the Nomad body.
The Bolink and RC10T bodies were both painted by Motion Graphics. I never realized until now that they shared the same paint scheme.

I don’t have access to the magazines and definitely don’t remember the month and year. But I’m pretty sure I saw a how-to article showing how to paint that drip body in RCCA.

Ok... that's the stuff... thank you. That was driving me nuts

The TRC/Composite Craft Python in that issue was the inspiration for the paint job on my JRxT/Nats truck back in the day. Mmm... good times

I am the very proud owner of that actual RC10T body painted for the RCCA magazine. It is one of the highlights of my RC collection.

That’s awesome Lavigna!
RCCA must have really liked that body..they also put that painting article in the 1992 “R/C Car Painting & Finishing Techniques” special issue.
