Kyosho Pegasus - the Rough Rider contender
Not really sure if it was a Kyosho Pegasus or Cosmo which my neighbor had at the beginning of the 90s, but I remember it drove circles round my (already aged) ´79 Tamiya Roughrider (which I bought 2nd hand and lacking of available spareparts was in fragile condition..). So not that I ever admired this car, but interested how it´s built =) I shot one years ago for small bucks and forgot about it laying at the attic. Recently found it and hope it´s worth to restore:

I have a Cox Bandido, which uses the same chassis (just red).
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Re: Kyosho Pegasus - the Rough Rider contender
Read about the Cox derivate, was the Kyosho Pegasus also available in the US? In Germany it was distributed as Graupner Pegasus (small sticker at the top of the roof..).

The Pegasus was available in Canada, so I imagine it was also available in USA.

Yes the Pegasus, Icarus (roll cage) and Cosmo (improved front end) were all sold in the USA as well as the Cox Bandido and Ultra Stock both using the same platform

What are you using on the body? I have 1 I need to restore as well, would rather try and recover the original body if possible

Made good experience with Dowanol PM to "rescue" the old original body. A small amount on an old cloth and overnight in a plastic bag. Then just peel it off. The decals survived bit I already plotted a sheet of new and will replace the worn-out ones.

Found an original Mabuchi Motor (black plastic backplate), and tried the RC10 tip: the Sakura Gelly pen.. it works
