Either they forgot to put the decimal point in after the 5 or that person needs to put the pipe down.
Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

I'm trying to figure out the pricing structure of Japanese sellers on eBay.

You mean the same item listed several times by different sellers for different amounts? That's super common, I bought an item listed that way and got a great deal.
Or if you mean the way they describe the items as garbage and trash etc there must be something lost in the translation.

Used translates to the Japanese as junk.
I look at their motor listings and sometimes they want $1000 for a brushed motor. Other times it might be 4 for $50.

The flipped rear arm mount was a popular trick for Cliff.

I’ve seen this and thought it was a weird scam somehow. I considered buying something recently but wasn’t willing to take a chance.

They are just flipping em. They will see something in a shop or wherever and list it hoping they can go buy it after it sells. Super sketchy and against eBay policy but they get away with it. On the item I bought, the seller that I got it from was 1/2 the price of the other resellers.

^ Now this makes sense. I was wondering why I kept seeing items listed this way.

$55k? ...Show off
I wonder what the logic is behind that listing. Just to get a rise out of people? 15 minutes of infamy? Practical joke?
