Lol how many do you want and what's your budget I've got 5 in total

Also have a trx-1 in similar condition that's going to get a rebuild when I have time and it has the rubber body mount too but no yellow cap.

Looking forward to seeing how this comes up

By the way any chance you know of another new engine mount hiding some where

Cheers adrian

Lmao yeh he's dreaming especially as it's only a team spec not a works. I picked up a nib works just over a year ago from France for €185 which was a bit of a bargain. Any way sorry for the hijack

Almost done, but still trying to figure out what to do about tires. Pro Trax tires just don't exist anymore... I might have to settle for some Radicator stepped pins, but I'd really hate to go that route. *shrug*

I also still need to hunt down some new shock caps that are the period-correct blue. Mine were badly faded so I picked up some new #2750 caps. But, the new caps are not the same color blue. The current anno that the Traxxas supplier is using is much darker. But at least it'll look good until I can find the correct caps!

I'd also like to find some good rear blue springs. The current rear springs are blue, but the blue has all flaked off and now they're silver.

It's close, but still a work in progress...

Every painted traxxas spring I ever had bitd, the paint was gone with a few compressions.

I'd wire brush / 1000 grit / carb cleaner those bad boys and hit them with a matching blue Krylon type paint and let them dry forever maybe even with a ltitle bit of heat. But then the paint might stay on them
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Not a bad idea! Or maybe I'll just soak them in CLR and live with the silver...

Does anyone know what other springs will fit the old Traxxas shock bodies? The springs on my JRX Pro SE look really close...

Yes Traxxas and losi are pretty interchangeable as far as shock springs.

I've heard losi springs are closest. AE springs of that era / equivalent are a little too tight I've noticed.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

Tis lookin great 8) .

I think the original faded blue shock caps fit it better. I wish they would've stayed with the lighter blue all along. When the legend nitro series came through Traxxas went dark on the blue anodizing and never went back to the lighter shade. Yours looks good. I might know of a few sets of the protrax tires for this thing. Last time I talked to him he had a bunch of NIP and some loose New tires yet but I've never been a boxart guy so when I brushed him off he kinda stopped coming around the LHS. I'll get ahold of him and If he still has any left I'll drop you his contact info so you can haggle with him...warning though, he wasn't cheap when they were plentiful :? .

Finally found some old NIB light blue anno shock caps and went into the way-way back machine to tighten up the TRX-1 on the shelf...

New caps, refinished rear springs, and new spur dust cover. Also pulled a Green Machine 2 from the bone yard to fit the blue / green box art theme.

Now just need to get the body painted and stickered up!

Box art car has black front wheel nuts. I'm just being "that guy". Joking aside, totally stoked for your progress here. The buggy looks fantastic. Would love to see a '92 collection group photo!
