haha!
I own the first EX-1!
Fantasic quality! Much much much better, than all modern transmitters. Super-Duty and ball bearings at the steeringwheel and throttle. I love it!

My local HS has several of those still NIB. I have been kicking around the idea of picking them up. Because I love the old Ko Propo radios.
Those are my toys and no I will not share!

So awesome, I have always loved those radios! Now an EX-1 UR is the radio that guides my 1/8 On-Road cars.

For ref - two of mine, a Gen4 EX1 FM and a uR (sold since then)

The EX-1 is the 911 of Radios - like the RC10
And the legend lives on with the new one!

Re: A comprehensive history of Ko Propo EX1 (1982-2002)
Just came across this thread while searching on google.
Would anyone know the date that this KO Propo EX-10 was manufactured?
Just acquired it, and was hoping it was period correct for my Kyosho Turbo Burns, around 1989 I think.
Thanks.

Re: A comprehensive history of Ko Propo EX1 (1982-2002)
this is not an EX-10... not even sure it's an EX-I actually!
EDIT - the widely "known" EX-10 is the "helios", which is a late 90's radio. Not sure whether this one is an ex-10 at all, could actually be...
EDIT 2 - you know what? This could very well be an EX-10 after all, because the EX-9 looked just like that with analog pots rather than that LCD... my bad. anyway, too lazy to rephrase the whole post now

having said that, this KO was also sold as JR-756 as I recognize it, which could be a bit easier to find some stuff about on the intrawebz. And this is defo a KO radio (compare with EX-5 plastics, for instance - same design)
For example:
https://www.rctech.net/forum/radio-electronics/999036-autographed-jr-r-756-transmitter.html

Showing it signed in '99... so it should be on the market since earlier than that. Hence it isn't an EX-1 otherwise it'd be part of the "history" article above. I don't think it's a design that was available in '89 either, looks too modern, AND Jack Johnson wouldn't still be using one in '99 I would say...

Oh - and since we're on the topic of signed radios, I picked up Josh Cyrul's former EX-1 a few years back and he signed it for me too... let me know if you're interested in a couple of pix and I will dig it up

It might be from '94 since this add below is from January '93 JirkaLonestar wrote: ↑Wed Jan 30, 2019 11:34 am Showing it signed in '99... so it should be on the market since earlier than that.
