Re: Some losi parts variations
I want to say I've seen them before, but never paid much attention to them.

Re: Some losi parts variations
Finally have a complete set of logo buggy wheels. I love all the fruit loop colors from that time!

LXT Front Shock Towers A-1015 variation
Found this out while tearing down a parts truck. It appears later on in the production cycle Losi modified the LXT camber link locations on the front shock tower.
The newer tower has 4 camber locations. The 2 outside locations are the same as the original but the 3rd one in is about 2mm lower and a 4th hole is even lower by aprox 0.5mm.

I do know this variation was around for the GTX as it shows this version in the owner's manual but not sure exactly when it appeared.

Consistency is the key I keep misplacing.

And I have seen bearing versions of the black and red, but not white.BattleTrak wrote: ↑Fri Nov 11, 2022 4:35 pm Steering arm variations.

Re: LXT Front Shock Towers A-1015 variation
A1014 for the Pro SE had running changes as well. Here are the three camber link versions that I know of. I have compared it to the Jammin steering enhancement tower and none have holes matching the Jammin

Re: LXT Front Shock Towers A-1015 variation
I never noticed that before! I went through my stash and have the bottom ones. That top one with the 2 holes looks a lot like both of my Jammin ones though. I wonder what the thickness is because my Jammin are 3mm vs 2.5mm of the Losi ones.

Re: LXT Front Shock Towers A-1015 variation
My guess is that the 2nd one is the closest to the Jammin' one as far as the inner position is concerned.

Re: Some losi parts variations
The Jammin I have on file has camber link holes higher than the highest one on the two of the three variations I have

Re: Some losi parts variations
Here’s a shock detail I just noticed.. Earlier shock bodies -Left- have a prominent machining center point on the very top and the top of the body isn’t flat, but radiused/scooped out. Compare to the later style body -Right- ..with the flat top and reduced machining marks.
A side note.. these are both 1.2 silver body shocks and shows the difference between a early vs late JrxPro buggy.

Re: Some losi parts variations
Early shocks also had a longer 'tab' on top, with the hole closer to the upper portion (not centered top to bottom). I don't have a picture as a comparison.
