The only reason for those ball cup packages were for the shock rod ends and eyelets. The remaining ball cups I have zero use for, so if someone would like them, I'll send 'em.
So what did you get in the post today ???

I use these a lot. The ball will also interchange with early RC10 and other 5.8mm balls.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
For my AE funny car, RCCA told me that it originally came with a '87 Olds Firenza body, and after quite a bit a looking, only Parma offered such a body as far as I could find. And although this body looks 95% identical to every other funny car body out there, I had to pay too much for this one because it was correct.
But then I got to thinking, "WTF is an Oldsmobile Firenza???" These were out when I was the most interested in cars, and I can describe most every car of the '80s just as my dad could of every car from the '40s-'60s; and literally I could not tell you a GD thing about an Oldsmobile Firenza. In my love of all things '80s, I can see some good things about this 2 door hatch version now, but to make a funny car body out of it??? I guess if GM was paying the bills and told a team to make something out of an Olds, you gotta to it, but man what a stretch!!!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

Just noticed these when looking at the ones you posted. The local HobbyTown carries them in-stock so I added them to my list. Thanks for sharing.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Wed Sep 06, 2023 11:19 pm I use these a lot. The ball will also interchange with early RC10 and other 5.8mm balls.

It's the GM "corporate" version of the Chevy Cavalier of the time. Outside of that, I don't know much more about it.

I got a combined haul today.
I'm not familiar with these front tires, but I was hoping they may fit well on an upcoming RC10 or B3 build? They have a unique half ribbed, half smooth pattern.

I picked some of those up to build up a truck I got that came without any ball studs or cups. Looked like a cost effective solution.R6cowboy wrote: ↑Thu Sep 07, 2023 8:20 pmJust noticed these when looking at the ones you posted. It looks like I'll need a gearbox and motor plate, a front battery cup, and a body. Maybe some matching rims too. Other that that, its a nice little buggy.

Re: So what did you get in the post today ???
Some pulleys for the dragster came in late last night. Had to track them down to the original manufacturer, and shockingly, they still make them and will sell them in small orders. They don't however list the exact same belt that was on there, so I found the closest modern replacement, and it seems maybe 1-2mm longer. TBH, the original belt feels fine, so after 35 years, it may just go back on there.

Not really by post but Unpacking my stuff from my return from Japan. Got a few small things aside from the GForce Genova. Getting Kyosho stuff is a tad easier to get over there especially this perpetually out of stock LeMans brushless motors. The Hitec motor i kinda just got to toss in the Genova which is a collab with a Japanese Youtuber, Radio GAGA.
