We used to mount 2.2 tires onto 2.0 wheels - I think a 1.6 on a 1.5 is a no brainer

Those are 1.7.
Kyosho Scorpion/Tomahawk/Beetle rears are 1.6 but are a little wider than the JConcepts tires.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.

Looks like our LHS that my buddy and I ordered our from got em in so hopefully we’ll be able to grab them this week. Looking forward to seeing what numbers we end up getting.
Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Not much to add today, but I did run a few practice laps with the mJRXT and it seems to do very well. Just a note that the added leverage of the big wheels does make popping ball cups a not uncommon occurance. Also it's by far the fastest of the brushed Losi RTR minis.
Also it goes good with the Original Ivan Ironman Stuart's Pro OFFROAD Arcade Also finally got a decent run with the Mini JRX2m mod. It's become a honking chonker of a buggy, now weighing in at 1.35lbs. This is nearly a 1/4lb heavier than stock and helps keep this thing under control. This is not what I'd normally do but it seems to work well, it flies better and is considerably more stable. The resin printed parts seem to be holding up well too.

Definitely a throwback and period for the JRXT! Local track, RC Madness, has this one. It's really cool!

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
My friend was good enough to pick our trucks up the other day. They had gotten in 6 of them. Mine is #2129. Turns out it’s on the box as well. He said even though all 6 were in the 2000’s, the numbers were all over the place. Mine and his are 100 apart and they were the closest together. Strange.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Yeah the numbering is all over. I know the ones we got here at RCM were in 2000 and 4000 ranges that I've seen. I own 4113 and 2397. The numbers are kinda meaningless to me, I'm still going to run them, just with modded JRX2 motor plates.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 2:29 pm My friend was good enough to pick our trucks up the other day. In other news attempted to use the servo saver Losi has listed as a replacement for the 1/16 Mini Drag car, LOS211035 which has a much better, cam style, design. Unfortunately it turns out they dropped the ball and this part is for 25t servos. Stock servo in all the current Losi minis is the Spectrum SX107 which has a 20t shaft.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Are these hard to find in some areas? The LHS has 2 sitting there, on the shelf, not getting any attention. I am not an RC car speculator myself, but someone might be able to stash them away for a year and triple his money when they are all gone.
I wonder, is 5000 really a "limited run", or is that all they figure they can sell? I have no idea what a "normal, unlimited" production run for an RC car is.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Yeah that's kinda what I was wondering too. I don't really know how many of any other model they sell to really compare with. I do Know that the real car I drive everyday is more rare than the JRXT though lol.1911Colt wrote: ↑Mon Mar 13, 2023 7:45 am Are these hard to find in some areas? Painted a body. It's not perfect but at least it's different. Decals distract from my sins. I'm not going to even talk about hte 1/10 body i was working on...

I consider decals to be the "last refuge of the untalented painter".

I really need to ditch rattle cans, the inconsistency with them is killing me. That and masking that decides to pull up on me mid painting is another thing that never fails to boil my blood.
