The RC10B3x Prototype

Post by scr8p »

So a few days ago I found out about a car I had never heard of before, an RC10B3x.

The car was run at the at the postponed 2001 Ifmar Worlds in 2002, and seems to have been raced at other tracks in 2002. Here is what Kurt Wenger mentioned on FB about it's specs:
It was a new kickup and carbon top plate for 25 degrees kick. Then we had the new caster/trailing style geometry of the B4 front end and front wheel. We made custom solid parts and drilled the holes in the mill. The rear end had the longer B4 driveshafts and high offset rear hubs + TLR wheel offset.
Now, all of the pics I've been able to get of this car it has the B3 wheels in the rear. In talking with some other people, one can assume the platform probably evolved after the Worlds to become what is described above. The front end was new for Worlds then moved to the back later on. It also sounds like one guy has one in his basement, so maybe one day I can update this with some detailed pics. But until then, this is what I have.

Pretty crazy we've never seen this before. Be interesting to see some other shots of underside and body off shots.

It's as if posts like this are a present for funding the server. :) Oh hey since we are still online here are some pics of a vintage RC10 you didn't know existed. Can't wait till someone here generates an AI to create plausible vintage associated builds.
