Losi MTM

Post by WriteDean »

Finally found one! But I’m wondering if it’s all original. Please see pics. Seems like an older Trinity endbell with Yokomo springs, yokomo timing ring and Trinity or yokomo can. Let me know what you think

Looks original. Open it up and pull out the armature and post some pics of that too.

Well the front plate says Team Losi.
All of the newer motors did have exactly this type of can. But might have also Trinity or Epic at the can.

Seems consistent with the endbell on this nib motor

Thanks Guys - I already cleaned it and put it in my truck. I was mostly curious because on the endbell, the brush hoods do not extend up, like a heatsink, like I have seen on all others. Wondering that this might be a first gen before that was the norm.

It seems to share the same design as this older Trinity motor.

Older MTM, 19x2. Team Losi/Japan on can, just positive symbol and no brush hood heat sink.

MTM 18x4, Japan on can, epic on end bell, brush hood heatsink.

I don’t have a Yokomo variant, but I know they are out there (not 100% sure, but I think the Yokomo variants are the oldest).

Ok. This is what I have. When I opened it I noticed it was a double turn. Can and end bell match this too. Thanks a bunch
