I thought the exact same as soon as I seen it. That's a seriously cool T4.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sat Nov 12, 2022 8:19 amI really like this. My T4 might need some similar tweaks.

The number of Yokomos this month is mind boggling. It's like having a spontaneous unplanned mob boss meeting at a pizzeria. (assuming it was unplanned).
I feel like an honorary 2wd Yokomo with my Works reproduction body. Or at least a Frankenbuggy in Yoke's clothing, trying to hang with the cool kids.

Tough choice this time around....so many of you deserve special recognition for a job well done.
I voted with my heart this time around, vs the rarity or technical sophistication of the entrants. Awesome Bill from Dawsonville's T-bird is right up there with Cobras, GT40s, and Glidden's Pinto on my all time favorite 1:1 race cars list.

And I will gladly bow out of BOTM and take this as a win!!

I only entered this car (or any car of mine) into BOTM because the final product speaks to me! It is OBVIOUSLY not the most technical, most precise, most time consuming, most expensive build in the group, not by a long shot! But when it was done and I stood back and looked at the complete package, I loved it and I thought others might also. I honestly expected close to 0 votes for this rig for the month, and I think it got 3 in the first day, which meant that it meant something to others also. That is all wins to me! I have twelve wins so far!!

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.

I got a deal on one of those Bolink cars BITD and hated driving it. But I had to vote for Awesome Bill. The awesomeness outweighed the bad memories.

Let's be honest, most vintage rc cars drove like garbage, especially lower priced pan cars.Frankentruck wrote: ↑Wed Nov 16, 2022 7:51 pm I got a deal on one of those Bolink cars BITD and hated driving it.

You mean o-rings between the chassis plates didn't create rail-like cornering suspension?
I don't know why I keep going back to Bolinks in my life, but I do. They are just so simple, and I know they were the LHS' cheapest way to get you on the track to buy track time, but I still like them. And given that 90% of my builds are going on the shelf, actual performance isn't a real criteria. Making me smile when I see them is much more important! There is a Sport 91, Eliminator, and Road Pro all waiting in the que pile.
I missed out on an Eliminator 12 on the bay about a year ago and am still kicking myself for not going higher on it.

O rings and chassis plates? Ya'll talking about high tech cars.
Try controlling this thing with a 12T in it!
