I had to drive to Ogden today for some material. On the way back I was just done with the freeway. Started looking for alternate routes. Ended up here… Northrop Grumman where they build and test the Artemis. Never knew this was here.

Before I got to this, I saw the turnoff for the Golden Spike recreational area. I will definitely go back for this. They have a replica Jupiter and a replica 119 locomotive that they bring in and take back out daily. Also had no idea this was here!

I've ended up driving the Ogden, Provo, Salt Lake City freeway gauntlet at rush hour twice in my life. Once with road construction and an 8 inch drop "abrupt shoulder". Random lane ends and narrowing cone alleys. White knuckle defensive driving. It was insane. The convoy pulled off for fuel once we escaped. I took my hands off the wheel and they looked and felt like I had just done 1000 pull-ups.
Hope you're doin' something fun.

I’m really not into military or aviation. One day I was removing and installing a new building sign. As I went into the building to wire it up. I noticed a lot of stuff indicating what I was working on. Kinda made sense as it was very close to Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. Yep, I learned what Northrop Grumman was that day.

Went with a friend walking the dogs at Lieth Hill. Not quite a mountain but the highest point locally , the building on top is a Folly I believe. Rich people used to build these mini castle like buildings but very small. Was a Victorian thing I think , just a beautiful day, it's not too far from Gatwick Airport and the planes can be seen on a level with you on descent or climb.

And for context we are now in spring and that white stuff should be gone by now. lol

Caught this on an evening stroll with the ol' lady earlier. I told 'er the only thing more beautiful than this sunset was her. So if I'm off line for 3 minutes and 20 seconds later, you'll know where I'm at.

Apparently each type of turtle needs its own sign. These signs are approx 5 miles apart. Or maybe each area is only zoned to allow that type of turtle. 😁

 It is in the side lot. I tried to do one in the area in the photo, but sooooo many trees. Twigs and branches kept falling on the track and I am too lazy to keep raking it clean. Then in the fall the whole area just gets buried ankle deep with leaves.

The side lot was the previous owner's giant garden, so it has no elevation changes, but it is pretty huge. No jumps = very few parts breaking, so I am ok with it.
