Love it! What's with the Cap on the motor leads though? shouldn't that be on the battery leads instead?ChocoTaco73 wrote: ↑Tue Oct 11, 2022 3:28 pm Getting the runner ready for the Kinwald Classic this weekend. Going up against B2s and XXs so I doubt it'll be all that competitive but it will be fun! Hoping my 88/89 vintage Tekin ESC600 Pro XT holds up, was surprised it even worked lol

Nope, on the motor leads. Used a cap from my Hobbywing Justock ESC since I had it handy.

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build
Welp, qualified first in the Vintage B main and had the lead til the very last lap when I buffed it lol With the exception of a turnbuckle the old girl didn't let me down all weekend. So fun actually racing a JRX2 after after 30+ years. Good times!

What was the benefit of Lunsford's kit over the stock 5 link?

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build
I've heard that the Lunsford kit takes care of the 5-link lean though don't know for sure and I'm not going to test them lol

What's better than 1 5-link runner? Why 2 of course

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build
Schumacher Cougar LD2, so I can use my modern hex AE offset front wheels. I'll most likely use my JC Racing wheels for the other, want to keep that one mostly stock.

Re: My JRX2 restore/race build
Is that a direct fit? I wonder if I can do the same with the Storm ST parts and my LXT so I don't have to use my wheel adapters.ChocoTaco73 wrote: ↑Mon Dec 19, 2022 7:56 pm Schumacher Cougar LD2, so I can use my modern hex AE offset front wheels. Re: My JRX2 restore/race build
I had to drill out the Schumacher caster blocks to 1/8 in order for the hinge pins to fit but that's it.
