1985 IFMAR Race Report from Japan with stunning photos

I was lucky to get this vintage RC book in my collection recently. The report and photos report of the first-ever 1985 IFMAR world champion race is simply amazing to me. I came across a PDF of the photos on the internet a while back, blown away by the quality of the color photos. In the 1980s Japan was at the peak of economic success in the world, the height of camera and monitor technology, and was definitely the golden era of RC. We are lucky to have such nice photo documentation of the race. They sent a huge team from Japan to compete in the race. They tried to compete with Kyosho Scorpions and Tomahawks but had little chance against the RC10. Apparently, the Japan team purchased RC10s from the local hobby store to benchmark the technology back home...a good idea. Click on the photos for higher resolution. Enjoy
