She'd be game , loves her meaty treats on walks , rabbit, squirrel or pidgen , think her next bush tucker trial should be a fish just to get the set , underground , up trees , in the air so she needs under waterFrankentruck wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 9:38 am The world is a better place with one fewer pigeon in it.

Re: The dog thread
I have to say pigeons don't put their crap in bags and hang it in trees and it's easier to wipe off shoes.....I like dogs but some owners are the ones needing training. This should be in what irritates I guess. Pigeons clean up discarded take-away and when Armageddon comes you'll be gratefull for a bit of BBQ pigeon...Frankentruck wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 9:38 am The world is a better place with one fewer pigeon in it.

Everybody should be able to enjoy the countryside and that means being responsible with the dog poo .threesheds wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 11:08 amI have to say pigeons don't put their crap in bags and hang it in trees and it's easier to wipe off shoes.....I like dogs but some owners are the ones needing training. As a dog owner the thing that bugs me most is mountain bikers , my male collie hates them so I have to grab him if I see one , the problem is they are by far the fastest of all users of rural paths and if they see you trying to grab your dog they don't slow down one bit and you get virtually no time to react , if your the fastest moving traffic it comes with its own responsibilitys but they just see it as a right to use the countryside as a race track , he hates horses as well but they I can always see in plenty of time and are responsible enough not to be galloping on a public path .
If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

Re: The dog thread
I used to have more respect for dog walkers but so many these days seem so irresponsible with the poo cleanup. I clean up after my own dogs I don't need to do everyone else's too.threesheds wrote: ↑Sat Oct 01, 2022 11:08 amI have to say pigeons don't put their crap in bags and hang it in trees and it's easier to wipe off shoes.....I like dogs but some owners are the ones needing training. The pigeons around town seem to swarm when the see anything on the ground. I know that means they learned it but I wouldn't miss a few less pigeons.
The mockingbirds though, there were a few in the neighborhood that thought my home was theirs. They'd come from across the street to attack me at the front door, attack me in the garage. For a while I had to keep a racketball racket handy for personal defense. One day they came when I was washing the car. They got the message after I chased them away with the hose spray nozzle. Master of pressurized water wins again! So yes Em, mockingbirds are delicious...

You think you can take this from me old man? Go ahead, give it a try. You will fail. Repeatedly. I revel in your failure.

Luckily I'm a mechanic by trade and I know a place that can put new belt into the inertia reel cartridge for £40 a pop , better than £100 for a new one from a dealership but still money I did not need to spend .threesheds wrote: ↑Sun Oct 16, 2022 1:40 pmSharp intake of breath, not gonna pass the MOT like that GUV!

I know another dog (friends) that has chewed many a seatbelt, I think the last count was about 12 in total over the past few years. I'm always nervous about unplugging and plugging in the airbag sensors....
