JR's Choice motor.

Spotted this as part of a Ultima pro rebuild in an auction site here in New Zealand.
Managed to convince the guy to seperate it and sell it to me.
Going into my JRX-Pro build, not that many vintage 20 plus year old Losi parts around in this country, needs a rebuild and new decal.

I also just cleaned up an old JR's Choice motor. The MCI decal for this motor is pretty clean. Not a perfect match, but pretty good. Much better than their Losi Double Trouble motor decal that I also picked up from them. The pink doesn't match well.

Weren't the early Trinity motors Kyosho based?

Several of the early Trinity motors I've seen had Kyosho can and endbell. The next version of Trinity motors had a can similar to Yokomo (stamped Trinity) and endbell similar to earlier Yokomo.

I have one of those. The can does look similar to a Yoko. The endbell still looks to have a (later) Kyosho vibe to it.

I also have a couple Pro-Trix motors with similar Trinity parts.

I was also looking at some of my Trinity Speedworks (early Epic) motors. They are nearly indistinguishable from Duratrax motors and also have a Kyosho vibe to them.

Lightbulb just went off since there's a decent amount of us who buy and/or collect old brushed motors. Just thought it would be cool if we had a sticky thread in this "Vintage Electronics" section focused on the history of different brands/suppliers vintage brushed motors (not just names & specs, like the "Ultimate Vintage Brushed Motor Reference Guide").
For example, the previously mentioned Trinity brushed motors. It would describe what specific can, endbell, armature Trinity motors used (with photo examples if available) and the order they were released. This would give anyone a guide to reference for exactly what parts certain suppliers' motors came with when new. Would also could help identify if an old motor has mismatched parts then what it originally had when new.

I have a handful of yellow label and white label Losi Revolution motors. One yellow label and one white label motor does not have what I believe to be the correct original endbells, and it's difficult as all heck to find out exactly what endbells they came with originally or if they came with different brands of endbells throughout their production runs. And I'm sure many of us have had at least a time or two where we were scratching our heads' if we had a completely original motor on our hands or not.
So with the abundance of knowledgeable fellas we have on this forum, having a thread as I mentioned could be very helpful as a reference. I'd have a little to contribute. I'm just not sure the best way to start a thread like that.
