Been wanting one since they came out many years ago. I heard they were very competitive on asphalt due their unique rear suspension but on carpet, the 10L's dominated. The rear pod remains parallel throughout its entire movement. Very cool! But this example "for parts" was locked up. Didn't move at all. Time to fix.

Most original parts still accounted for except rear axle. Chassis in very good shape as I suspect this car was shelved early due to possible broken axle and then forgotten.
. To clean the magnesium crossbar I used a rag soaked with white vinegar. I didn't want to sand or wire wheel it since that would remove too much material. I also shimmed the inner front aluminum mount to increase clamping force on the crossbar. Removed all rust from rear stabilizer and then polished. More to follow......
