Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well I have the factory works shock towers and extra rear shocks. It looks like h arms are already being worked on. I guess I just need a stretched chassis and body and a ball diff.clm wrote: ↑Thu Jun 23, 2022 8:14 pm Hmm so basically Jeff's shock towers, an extra set of rear shocks, a long wheel base graphite chassis which doesn't yet have a source, and the h-arm rear suspension which is on a few people's to do board.
That's not too bad, I would probably grab shocktowers from Jeff ànd wait too see where a chassis and rear suspension parts end up coming from
A 3d printed chassis isn't going to work here, some 30 degree kickup frp or graphite is going to need to be found to pin route or it will need to be made from aluminum.

That is a glorious mashup there Jeff!

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Yeah, but the accuracy of the parts are not great. I have the basic shape down including the sweep of the arm but the details are just too much for me right now. From a few inches away they look the part and even have the arrows and R and L on them

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well that is good enough for these minis really, no one is expecting them to go win national championships... they just need to win the mantle place race

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
To those that can design 3D Printed parts -
Can someone design a mini hex adapter so we can use Mini B and Mini T 2.0 rear rims? It would need to be wider where the pin is then standard mini hex size (8mm?)
If you currently change the pin this can be done with a stock Mini B/T hex. I'd like to see us to be able to do this with the stock pin...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Looking a little more proper now with the correct color H arm. Test fit of the “mini” bumper works well but I didn’t space the bellcrank posts yet. Working on the 2038 hubs today.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
I am not familiar with those adapters and honestly wouldn’t want a 3D printed part there as I think the pin will hog through that soft material very quickly.WriteDean wrote: ↑Fri Jun 24, 2022 2:30 pm To those that can design 3D Printed parts -

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Oooh is that an xT/Pro chassis I see? What material is is made from? I want to buy 2!! lol
-insert Fry from Futurama meme here-
On another note, anyone know what size e-clips these are and if any ballstuds from any other kit will work with this? $1.25 per ballstud is somewhat annoying and I want black e-clips and they don't even include enough e-clips in the hinge pin bag for the front end...

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Well DRAT.. at least the junior chassis can be mostly used as a template. I had to adjust the antenna hole as mirroring the x2 chassis would have put the antenna in a rib.. oh yeah and battery box location... there was that too lol

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
The Mini T 1.0 rear springs are indeed longer by 5mm. Rear springs - Jrx2 mini = 35mm. Mini T 2.0 = 40mm. Mini T 1.0 = 45mm.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Mon Jun 20, 2022 8:53 pm If I'm not mistaken, original Mini T springs are even longer.

Re: The ultimate Mini JRX2 thread
Losi's have never been my thing but these look really cool and fun. They are growing on me.
It reminds me of the early Mini T days when we were hand making motor plates to fit the Big Block motors before the conversions came out.

I was old school - when old school wasn't cool !
