Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Do it, I am running cheap Ender 3 pros and I have made more things then I could count. From RC bits to spacers for my Mothers mobility scooter to wiper rack bushings for a vintage VW

It is not all that hard. I have a Sovol SV01 - Nearly plug and play. Number 1 thing - Level the bed!

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Every time I think I am ready. I get overwhelmed and the forums point to too much money for a guy who will print a gas can for a crawler or a mini X2 part and I give up.
Right now I work on a Chromebook and think I would need a PC, at least a cheap one as I understand as well to do file transfers.
I had my eye on this one recently as it seems easy set up. I don't want to get overwhelmed in set up and futzing around and lose interest. I almost want a RTR to keep it RC like so I can learn from there.

Hot off the printer, heavily modified Kingroon with all the fixins
I usually dont cheat with a raft but I knew I was gonna be away for most of its print and didn’t want one to cause them all to fail

$200 max, pick my printer. Easy set up, compact would be ideal for my space. Won't print anything bigger than a 1/10 wheel. Easy set up, work out of box without obtaining a computer science degree and having to read 56 forums that will confuse me more.
I like the size of this one for instance.

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Ender 3 in that price range. Joey King got one… then got another… and is printing like a madman. Creality is a hobby printer and you will have failures but it’s the easiest with the most support and super easy to get parts. My kingroon was way cheaper, but I have put well over $400 into it and it’s the cheapest printer I own after all mods are accounted for. It’s a hobby just like this.
I don’t have a ender 3. I do have a Ender 5 (highly recommend but out of your budget), ender 5+, 2 Kingroons, and a Pulse. The ender 3 prints just like a 5, just a little more setup in getting things square. You can’t go wrong.
My first was a monoprice. I got a year out of it until I went looking for a better unit. They won’t take you to the next level like a creality.

Got it, reading up on the ender 3 now. Thanks. I get it's a hobby and I can grow but I also know me. I am not passionate about it say like RC. So if I don't get going and learn the basics hands on I will not grow, I will get frustrated. I need it to work and then I learn and go down the wormhole.

If you are near a Microcenter, I want to say Joey got his Enders for like $110! I’m sure it was a special deal but it’s so cheap for that printer

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Ender 3 is a good start. I have a few printers and use the Ender 3 regularly for several years now. Learning 3D printing isn't all that difficult, and you can use your Chromebook to slice your files. You'll just have to install the software.RCveteran wrote: ↑Tue Jun 21, 2022 3:13 pm Got it, reading up on the ender 3 now. Thanks. I get it's a hobby and I can grow but I also know me. Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Thanks everyone, I will read and do have a Microcenter relatively nearby. Now back to mini X2's. When can we expect the JRXT and Pro Se conversions?

Re: Losi Mini JRX2 coming soon
Lots of roadblocks there- for jrxt and pro a proper chassis with kickup suffers the same problems as the full size ones- it’s crazy expensive. The pro se will probably be easiest as clm has the chassis posted above and I already have towers.
