That's the big question on everyone's mind, isn't it; where do they go next?
It seems unlikely Kyosho will reproduce the platinum shocks so an SE re-re would be just a decal set and maybe a few hardware bits. Does this really warrant a new full kit with new packaging, etc.? Maybe so but I doubt it.
I'm hoping for a LWB version. If a full TOMS re-re kit isn't in the cards then maybe they could offer a conversion kit (chassis plates, belt, covers and body set). Kyosho isn't known for releasing conversion kits however so I guess we shall see - could take a while.

I agree. A re-re SE with new platinums would be EPIC! I hope it happens.

Meanwhile, I'm starting to think about parts. Of hand, I'll want to order bumpers, wheels and that rubber seal that goes under the belt cover to finish some vintage shelfers.
I reckon other collectors are thinking same so we'll want to watch closely for when parts will become available and get them ordered. Too bad they didn't re-re the Mid's tires.

Me too! Parts

Wheels, sway bars, battery holder for lipo and "Wide range of optional parts are available for tuning and upgrades" according to Amain.

IIRC, the platinums aren't the only shocks that had the variable dampening. Some of the ultimate shocks also had it.

The clear belt guides were changed to hard plastic, but the seal piece looked pretty much unchanged in the pics.

I just hope Kyosho maintains Optima comparability with the "Slipperkupplung Poop":

I guess at the very least, the gap is increased to accommodate the thicker flange of the new molded belt cover. If that's all that is changed, I can work with it.
I still have those printed seals I made a while back and there's the option of using the cover from a pipe clamp but I'd rather have a genuine OEM part if possible.

I'll have to dig through my instruction sheets to check (hoping they're all in the same place).

That's some really useful info on compatibility with the vintage versions and the more recent rere's. I'm looking forward to it, hopefully it'll ship by the end of next month as has been suggested?! It's interesting that they mention some of the options that will be compatible but many of those already compatible with the TO are out of stock everywhere  I'm hoping they stock up on ball diffs and universal drive shafts soon

Let's hope there's soon a thread filling with pictures of everyone's kits arriving! When the rumours started last year the forecast delivery was mid-March 22 but opinion seems to now be April...so, we shall see!!
