Turnbuckle Woes
Hi all. I am looking for a bit of advice.
I am in Germany trying to find a turnbuckle set (including balls and cups) for my Cadillac RC10, but having a real tough time finding the 4-40 set here (or it is super expensive if so).
I can get a lot of AE parts, turnbuckles, etc, but aren't they latest RC10 models metric based?
Do you have a good alternative that could work for them as well? Just trying to avoid dropping $70=80+ (shipping + VAT is killer) just for some freaking turnbuckles on a VERY old car that I am trying to just drive as a basher with my son.
Thanks for the help in advance!

Re: Turnbuckle Woes
Schumacher.
4.3mm ball and cup size. Anything larger will likely interfere in the front. Don't use RPM cups, they are too bulky.
You can use common 3mm turnbuckles, in the correct lengths.

The only ones that I know that fit are some Schumacher, Custom Works, and CRC.
What you want is 4.3mm, which isn't commonly used anymore.

If you are going for vintage you can get steel threaded 4-40 rod and cut it on your own.

Re: Turnbuckle Woes
I am going the route if 'I want this guy to run'
They don't need to be the original hardware. So if they are black, white, orange, pink cups, it is fine to me (I might need to get a new shell to match is all
)
It is why I am also open to using different sized hardware that will still fit.
