Turbo Optima re-re - how sturdy is the transmission?
Wondering how tough the trans is on the Turbo Optima re-re. Planning on using a 3800kv motor on it, but I don't know if it can handle it.

Re: Turbo Optima re-re - how sturdy is the transmission?
Well the transmission is basically the same as a modern buggy, with differentials from Kyoshos modern buggies and a belt drive similar to modern cars.
3300kv is about equivalent to a 13.5T motor these days. It can easily handle that, in fact I use a faster 10.5T motor in my original vintage race Optima with the original drivetrain without a problem.
