Noob

Post by Benders »

Hello all! After being out of the hobby since the early 90’s I just recently got back in…got tired of paying $50-75 for the junk cars at Walmart and my boys destroying them in a couple of weeks so I bit the bullet…all 5 of my boys got 1/10 hobby cars for Christmas…and after catching some flak from them I conned a friend out of a clod that had been a shelf Queen since it was new…I’ve got it up and running around the living room but it’s really too nice to go beat on so I’ve been hunting parts as I can find them on eBay…I’m sure I’m gonna have lots of questions especially on the brushless stuff cause I’m lost there…if I can figure out how to post pics here I’ll post a few of our rigs…

It wasn’t cheap but I wouldn’t consider it terribly expensive either…I got them rtr cars at about $200 a piece…of course then I had to buy fast chargers and extra batteries on top of that but cars ain’t fun if you have to charge them for 8 hours to run 15-20 minutes either…granted I gave a bit more for the clod but everything was there short of the battery and it had never been run…of course my boys immediately tried to con me out of it the second I brought it home…and now the ol lady wants a car so I see it as a family affair…besides I’ve never seen a brinks truck following a hearse so might as well have fun while I’m here…
