KYOSHO ZX-5 parts
Hi guys been awhile hope everyone is doing Great and Healthy. My questions are what kyosho size shocks go on the front and back, plus what current kyosho shocks would work? And what is available for axle/ cvds. Also need help on rims what can I use that's available. Thanks for any advice.

Re: KYOSHO ZX-5 parts
For the axles, it depends on the version of the ZX-5 you're talking about, because the arm/hub combinations (and also the chassis, shock towers, motor mount and more) change depending on the version. Readyset, original kit version, FS, FS2?moto-steve wrote: ↑Mon Jan 10, 2022 9:25 pm Hi guys been awhile hope everyone is doing Great and Healthy. For example, mine is an original that was converted to a FS, and it uses LA257 universals at the front with LA255 arms and LA254 c-hubs/uprights, but UM510 universals at the back with LA255 arms and UM519 hubs, while the original ZX-5 uses LA302 universals at the front with LA220 arms and LA219 hubs/uprights and LA303 universals at the back with LA220 arms and LA304 hubs...
Kyosho should have all of the manuals on their site, so you can look up part numbers.
For the shocks, LA301 are the original shocks for the ZX-5, while the FS uses W5194V at the front and W5195V at the back.
The rage back in the day was to upgrade to big-bore shocks, which were available in three lengths: W5303V (30 mm stroke), W5304V (38 mm stroke), W5305V (46 mm stroke). The length you need depends on your ZX-5 version...

Or upload a picture showing the chassis and the body. Even the bodies are specific to the version...
