First paint attempt electric boogaloo
My first attempt at painting and decaling a body finished up today. Used tamyia fluorescent yellow and pink I think brilliant blue all backed with white. Custom colored mciracing decals. Not sure what to do on the wing. Not real happy with it and none of my decals look big enough. For now it stays blue but that may change.
went lite on the decals too. Might think about adding a few

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

I always do the inside and outside of my wings different colors.
I also paint my wings from the bottom, instead of the top. That way, the wing always matches the body and I'm able to back-coat in whatever color I want.

That is a JConcepts Finnisher wing. I have on on this car, also painted in Tamiya brilliant blue. It is trimmed in black and backed with metallic silver.juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 4:47 pm I always do the inside and outside of my wings different colors.

Oddly enough, they both have Traxxas wing buttons as well.

Noted. Next wing will be done reverse of how I did this one. And I may try different colors. Thanks for the tip!juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Sat Sep 18, 2021 4:47 pm I always do the inside and outside of my wings different colors.

That looks better than my probably 20th body, so take pride in it an congrats!
Body prep and paint is still the most stressful part of an RC build IMO.

I build RCs like people would have done back in the '90s ..................................... if they had 3D printers.
