Futaba MC109

Post by juicedcoupe »

I did the normal Google searches and didn't find much.

Anyone know anything about it? Possibly a manual?

It came with a recent purchase and looks to be in good condition. Through the opaque case, I don't see any signs of damage.

Being a three wire esc, I know that its foreword only. But that's about all.

Nice esc & not easy to come by.

Released 1987, 150A/450A & rated at an 18T limit. 3 wire fwd & Brake.

I did have a copy of an MC110 manual, which is similar, on my laptop but lost it due to a knackered hard drive although they're straightforward to set up.

If you decide to get shot of it, let me know.

Thanks.

I found an ad with it but it's in a different language. I was able to decipher the current limits but not much more.

I figure that the neural and high set like my other older esc's. I assume that the power curve is a torque limiter.

Yeah, you have the setup pretty much sussed if you have other old esc's, setup is much the same as Novak/Tekin.

I have those esc's plus an MC8 & 108 but I don't have a 109. Not that I have a car for an MC109

I also have the 112 and 210 models.

If it works, I have a short arm, gold pan car that is just about ready for electronics. Should match up nicely.

Fixed the wiring and replaced all the connectors. Wired it up and sure enough, it works. I didn't even have to adjust it. I don't know how well it will actually perform but I don't expect it to have a strenuous life.

I also put a new connector on the AE/ Sanyo 1200 SCR pack that I received at the same time. I don't expect much from it but it should look at home in a gold pan.
