I like your paint scheme, glad you didn't go box-art. Beautiful resto!

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Thanks!
Yeah, it turned out way better than I thought when I first opened the box of parts I got of Ebay.
It´s right now on the desk in my home office. But I might have to put some electronics in it and take it for a gentle run. It deserves to be run again.
@DerbyDan: Well spotted! Ford Type9 it is.
I put up some pictures and some text about my slightly bigger hobby cars here: https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=39&t=29265&start=465
@BattleTrak: The green is Tamiya PS-17 Metallic Green.
I used to use Pactra paint both in spray can and later even got a Badger(?) air brush. But this paintjob is made using Tamiya spray cans.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
Status update.
I was going to stop the resto at a rolling chassis, maybe temporary fit modern electronics just to take it for a spin in the yard.
But oh no...I couldn´t stop myself.
Had a good think of how my original Jrx2 was specced.
Pretty sure it had a Novak t-4. So I got a nice one from Ebay.
Remembered that we used to fold Lexan to make shelves to put the esc on.
Paper template and Lexan cut out. Attach to car. Maybe we where using all four screws bitd. Nice!
Then I had a deep look in my old boxes. I found an old (oxidized) Sanyo 1400 SCR matched pack from PTI, not sure I used it in the Jrx2, but it was as close as I could get. Have started to clean it, but there is no hope for it to clean up nicely. I have not yet found a Yellow label Revolution. But I found an old Peak Performance that has been in one of my old Corally pan cars. It´s clean, but it has had ground contact a couple of times and the label is scraped.
It had a Futaba controller, so I got a s148 servo and a 27Mhz receiver.
And then I put it all in the car.

This is such a classic build. Love it. Your ESC shelf idea is quite creative; I may end up borrowing your design.

Re: JRX2 - The project.
I actually have an update!
My brother got an Ultima parts lot and in there was something not Ultima.
Brand new unused Jrx2 front arms and rear hub carriers!
Now installed and looking good!

Cool!
Also, how is the Lotus 7 that had transmission trouble during the Losi resto?
