Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2021 ** Winner - TheDiamondOne
This is Yo-Clone-Oh , there is not one Yokomo part on the car anywhere , the chassis is a hand made part , every other plastic part including wheels , suspension , gearbox , gears and chain sprockets are 3D printed from CAD models I drew up as copies of the original YZ-834b Dogfighter , it's got my own take on the Delta Desert Dog rear suspension , its fully functional , fully expendable and an unashamed runner .
The project sprang from my love of driving my original car and from the inevitable attrition it caused , in short I wanted to be able to drive it hard ! So this was my answer , its mostly printed in Carbon Fibre infused Nylon and its very tough indeed . This is the whole build thread https://www.rc10talk.com/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=44144&hilit=yo+clone+oh The body is an old runner body that I've been using for practice with a new airbrush .

If a jobs not worth doing then its certainly not worth doing well.

This here is my RC10 street buggy. It started out as a spare parts build and morphed into a little more.
It's mostly a basic A stamp with black dyed parts, setup in full long wheelbase. The six gear was rebuilt with some re-re parts and outdrive bearings.
- The hex conversion is a little different, consisting of B4 blocks, Traxxas carriers, and Pro SC10 axles. Factory Works hexes handle the rear.
- The shocks are Tamiya CVA's with AE and Traxxas springs, cups, and ends.
- The wheels are wide offset RPM Revolvers, for a crawler (1.7 wide), with rear buggy Duratrax Bandito's all around.
- Electronics consist of a Novak Polaris, Futaba S132H, AE SC200, and Reedy Radon.
- The body is a JConcepts Dominator Worlds.

This is a car me and my brother raced against in the 80s and were lucky enough to buy from the original owner this winter and do a resto on it. It does have modern esc, lipo, servo because this is a runner, it runs strong.

Re: ** Build of the Month Contest - April 2021 ** Winner - TheDiamondOne
I don’t think I’ve ever submitted a build.
Here is my most recent one. A RC10GT2 I converted to a SC10GT-e
I built my own chassis out of 1/8” 7075 aluminum. It’s lengthened 43mm, converted to electric, converted to hex, RPM front sc10 bumper, rear SC10GT bumper, prosc10 nerf bars, factory team chassis brace, 12mm big bores, 2.2/3.0 jconcepts front rib and Proline gladiator rears with pro line bead lock wheels and carbon fiber bead locks. The body is a Jconcepts Illuzion and the body mounts are SC10 fronts (with a SC10 tower) and SC10 rears (with the original GT2 tower). Electronics are GoolRc 3500kv motor with 60a esc, associated s1903mg servo, and a XP3G tx/rx combo. I had a lot of fun building this and will definitely build another.

Futaba 27MHz receiver, Futaba S148 servo, Novak T-4 esc, Peak Performance motor and PTI Super Matched 1400 SCR.
Just as I remember from back in the day when I started racing.

Thanks Dadio! They are officially called "PRETTY PUNY SISSY LITTLE WIMPY MOTOR" They are fairly obscure and I believe originated as part of GONZO batteries. I think both from Indiana, but I'm not sure. They were relatively popular at the track I grew up on for a period because the proprietor sponsored a hand-out race at our track. they were all silver cans though, so when i saw the green on ebay, I had to have it!
I like your entry too. A couple of weeks ago we spent the week in a beach condo near Fudpucker's restaurant/alligator farm and ate there a couple of times. I think you'd approve!
