Resto RC10 Graphite Team Car #6036
Just recently started to restore this full original Graphite Team car.
Was completely original with every nut/bolt/washer.
Waiting on a few bits now to continue.

Re: Resto RC10 Graphite Team Car #6036
Finally the needed parts arrived for the rebuild of the diff.
It not needed much, but want to have it correct, and solid.
On the picture with the diff parts, you see the thrust bearing is gone. So...
Placed a NOS thrust bearing.
Als the Thrust spring is a close-to new one.
Placed a new Rulon clutch disk.
Cleaned everything, and put it together.
Diff feels super smooth now, with the Schumacher diff grease, and the Losi black grease.
Hope to get some bit more action soon again.
Hope you enjoy the pictures...

Re: Resto RC10 Graphite Team Car #6036
Okay,
Been working on this little project again..
lately being busy with some others, but back to the RC10 fun again! Haha.
Did a full clean on all the parts, had been waiting on two original bolts which where off, and put it all together again.
Sorted out some of all the extra bits which came along with the car.
I believe, this is quite an exceptional original Graphite car.
Yes it has been used, but definitely not a lot.
For now, waiting on a Body to arrive, and will paint it!
Then, this one is finished! Ha!

Will use the Mirage body for it, and probably a sort of box art theme, with modern effect.. orso.. haha.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Thu Feb 25, 2021 11:08 pm Fantastic build, love the photos.

Re: Resto RC10 Graphite Team Car #6036
Restoration project finished!
What a fun one!!
This car was a bit of a mess, and not put together very correct.
In the end, all parts where there.
Bought this one from the first owner.
The car has been driven, but not a lot (as you see on the tires, and some minor scratches on the chassis)
Only needed to order a slipper spring, and a thrust bearing to make it good again.
So, the whole car is 99% original as it came in the box.
Even a few spare bits where there
!
The RPM bell crank was on the car, and left those (like ‘m)
Fitted a JConcepts Detonator body, and will leave it unpainted.
A great little project in between!

Oh so fine, love it just like that. It really came together, nicely done.

Re: Resto RC10 Graphite Team Car #6036
Thanks a lot!! I stepped away from new tires, cause after cleaning the original ones, i thought this was more “correct”.MarkyDents wrote: ↑Sun Feb 28, 2021 7:30 pm Oh so fine, love it just like that. It really came together, nicely done.
The JConcepts body was the one i had in stock, and when looking at this one twice, I really saw the car standing out.
Any paintsceme for the shelf, would destroy the finess looks it has now (quite personal I believe
I will enjoy it for a while, before i will let it make place for new projects. But, great fun this was!!

I like the Detonator Worlds body as well. I have them on two of my cars. I like how sleek and low slung it is.
Always looking for new and interesting ways to waste money.
