Also, u can set cutoff voltage to auto or 3.0v per cell in esc and run it till it suts off with no worries.
Good to know. I’ll see about programming that. Thanks!

This is something I've done in the past, however some may not agree with it. I hooked the lipo battery up to my old nicd quick charger for about 5 minutes. This raised the voltage of the pack up above the lipo charger's threshold and allowed the pack to be charged.

Do I need to buy a new charger or can I get by without it?
If not, any recommendations for one that won’t break the bank?
This is ac/dc, 10amp, has all the protection features....just what the doctor ordered, plus it will keep u from burning down your house, lipos can be scary

Thanks, I think I’ll check out that charger. It took almost 2 hours to charge the battery with my 3amp charger.

Wow this thing is fast! I haven’t taken it outside yet because the roads are filled with salt and I don’t want to get my car dirty. Also, I haven’t finished the body yet. I’ve been driving it around the basement and doing burnouts. When I gun it, this thing takes off like a rocket. Only problem now is the motor spins the wheels right off the tires.
I’m using J Concepts double dees tires on the rear with my old three piece wheels (actually two piece because I’m not using the plastic insert). I assumed from my research that these tires fit these rims but maybe not.
I’d rather not glue them on these wheels so I guess I need new wheels. The J Concepts hazard wheels look cool. Are there other wheels that will fit this car without changing the hub?

See the parts about cars with 1/4" axles.

Jconcepts front wheels and Traxxas rear wheels with Factory Works hexes.

Thanks that’s helpful. I also saw someone in that thread mention JC Racing so I checked out their website. I really liked the 5 spoke wheels. I guess I have some more ordering to do. It’s just too bad I bought two sets of the JConcepts tires (front and back). Maybe I’ll get the hazard wheels too.

I like the Hazzard wheels as well, I have three sets. Be careful though, as their matching tires are about the only thing I've found that fits them well. Their availability seems to go in spurts.

Right now I can only find the Hazard rear wheels in black and front wheels in white. Rest is backordered. I think I’ll get a set in black and white since I have the wheels. I’m ordering the J concepts and the traxxas wheels with the hex adapter on eBay.
Can I use any 2.2” 1/10 buggy tires on these wheels? I searched on eBay and found tires from duratrax, pro line and Schumacher.

Just to be clear, the wheels from the link. Yes, they are standard 2.2 buggy tires. Several manufacturers make all different types to choose from.

Right. The link was for the J Concepts mono front wheels and the traxxas 7171 for the rears with the hex adapters.
I had ordered J Concepts hazard tires for use with my old three piece wheels. I didn’t want to glue them so I also want to order the hazard wheels to go with them.
I also like the jc racing 5 star wheels. I’m gonna have so many freakin’ wheels.

Are there any tires that will work with the old three piece wheels without glueing?
