I have 5 votes accounted for...my Kyosho is turn key...so I am assuming Jason was the 6th vote. YES!

Well i'm a massive Yoke fan as they were my weapon of choice back in my racing days, so no mystery where one of my two votes went....

Senior moment eh, remembers when you could get a pint of beer and 20 fags and still have change from a ten bob note. (translation for yanks... Beer and cigarettes and change from a dollar) of course I'm remembering when dollar/£ was about 2.4. Happy days

Aftermarket or not, a Ultramold is still an "RC10". So, no.

It's definitely shaping up to be a butt-clincher. I may need the jaws of life to help me retrieve my underwear when it's all said and done...

I wonder what the deal is for people voting for their own cars? I mean, I didn't - feels a bit wrong, but what if you don't like the other builds as much as your own?
Is there an un-written rule?

If I didn't, none of my junk would ever get any votes.
Besides, if you don't like your own stuff, why should anyone else? IMHO, your builds should represent your vision. If others like your ideas, cool.
Personally, I like "survivor" type cars. Not that they are likely to receive many votes, when compared to the "like new" or "better than new" type cars. Don't misunderstand me, many of these builds are extremely nice, but they just aren't my thing.

It's a bit Trumpy voting for yourself and that'd be 10 votes discounted in the BOTM. i like survivors too, preferably in running condition and don't mind some battle scars and cobwebs. I don't mind putting a jalopy up against an MIB , it's all "in the eye of the beholder" . Gonna be putting a real old banger in soon. If it gets one vote it won't be my own.

Re: ** Build of the Year Contest - 2020 ** - Winner - Asso_man!
I don't always vote for my own car but when I do, I do. No shame whatsoever. I took the "high road" once and it ended up a tie then I lost in the runoff. So in theory, if I had voted for myself, I may have "won". It was to one of those damn cox brothers fellows!!!juicedcoupe wrote: ↑Fri Dec 11, 2020 2:27 pmIf I didn't, none of my junk would ever get any votes.
