Got this beauty in the mail recently. I think this is the last ESC made by the original Tekin. Can someone confirm? Also, what is the extra red wire for?

Hey guys,

I was hoping someone might be able to shed some light on this... I'm doing a major rebuild/update on my old RC10 Team Graphite (been sitting for around 15 years) but want to keep an old NiCd/brushed ESC and power setup for true vintage...

Tekin's never used a diode on the motor it is in the case. Only Novak's use an external diode. If I was to make a guess I would day that it is a blown brake fet. If I remember correctly if the heat sinks touched during operation it would blow out...

I have an old KO Propo PDS-2123FET servo and was wondering if this is compatable with today's brushless esc's and lipo's?

Hey All,

I had this Novak T-1X in my parts and I didn't test it until now. It immediately heated up, on my test rig, along with my test battery. Clearly a short.

I have a maker knowledge of FETS. Initially, I wasn't going to bother with this, but...

10 ohms is about right. Something less than 100 would be fine. It's hard to say on the fet replacement. Its always best to match the fets as close as possible.

I just glanced thru' the Novak website.........noticed that there was a filter kit #5630 which was used to connect a KO fet servo to the Novak esc......... anyone got the manual of this filter kit ??........:)

is there any problem if I hook up a...

The inductor/choke that KO used to include had to be soldered inline with the blue lead off the servo.

Hi,

Wondering if anyone can help with a broken servo gear I have encountered on my KO PS-87 servo?

This is the only thing wrong with it, any suggestions greatly appreciated. I love these servos...

Just looked at my satsh, I only have spare gears for the KO PS 702 and 703. Outdrive gear is 39 teeth... Sorry and good luck!
