Thank you! I plan on trying a faster motor and some different driving locations soon, so I''ll have many more modifications/improvements to make.

It's noisy on the bench, so I'm also surprised at how quiet it is while running. I guess the body masks it.

Scary moment: the trees sure keep things interesting!

Anyone know of a way to mount a wing to the back of an OG style Optima?

Here's a picture of the academy wing mounts mounted to the stock tower. I only used one screw and reamed the hole for the stabilizer.

Ive been sourcing parts for a while to rebuild an original 1985 Kyosho Optima. Things are coming nicely. :D

Reduced to pieces

Gross wheels with slick sand super tires

After thorough cleaning

Sanded and bleached wheels with reproduction...

The rough edges look more like the overspray film curling up...but yes, a Dremel can help remove any burrs or roughness along the edges. I actually use a pointy cone-shaped Dremel bit to make holes for body posts. It's much neater than trying to...
